About Us

MusicBox Children’s Charity is a registered Canadian charity that provides high-quality music education for children and families facing social or economic marginalization.

Making music accessible for all!

We started out as a university club in 2004 in Toronto, co-founded by two students. Now, with chapters at 9 Canadian universities (and growing), MusicBox provides volunteer-led music programming that is developed by young people, for young people, bringing music to children across the country. Our youth volunteers are the backbone of our organization, preparing for a lifelong commitment to community engagement and service.

Our programs are developed in partnership with our communities so they are as unique as the children who participate.

Through music, MusicBox helps build stronger and healthier children, cultivating creativity, confidence and whole child development.

Accessibility: creating equally accessible music education for all
