Our Programs

Led by qualified volunteer student instructors, participants in our programs receive high-quality free music instruction in group or individual settings. In addition, MusicBox participants may perform in festivals and community recitals and attend music-related excursions, such as a performance by the local symphony orchestra or a musical theatre production. Without MusicBox, these opportunities are typically inaccessible for many participants and their families.

Each of our programs is adapted and built to the needs and interests of our participants.

Programs are offered in partnership with local community organizations, and may include:

Early Childhood Education

Supports gross motor, speech, socio-emotional and whole child development through music.

Regular 30-45 minute group programs on-site

Offers a blend of music theory, cultural expressions of music and special student interests to foster relationship building and a love for music

Regular 30-45 minute group programs on-site

World Music Appreciation

Private or semi-private lessons focused on an instrument of the child’s choice (availability may vary)

Students are encouraged to participate in festivals and certifications if they choose, with fees paid for by MusicBox.

Private (1-1) Lessons

From learning about rhythm, building instruments, to sing-alongs, our YouTube channel has a variety of free, bite-sized educational videos for kids and their caregivers to complete together.
